The company developed a revolutionary technology based on capillary arrays that ensures the safe infusion, storage and controlled release of hydrogen gas, enabling it to become the leading cost effective, safe and environmentally friendly energy source. The R&D is located at the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM) labs in Berlin. INCOM, the world’s largest manufacturer of rigid fused fiber optics, supplied and co-developed the variety of glass structures utilized in the storage systems.
The technical feasibility of hydrogen glass storage systems has proved successful with the building of a few prototypes, and the results have paved the way for industrial applications.
A wide range of applications include:
- Gas storage system
- Emergency off-grid power supplies
- Small scale consumer electronics
- Remote communication / broadcast facilities
- Transportation
With the success of the technology already demonstrated, the possibilities for this technology will be endless.
